The north coast of Scotland is dotted with medieval castles to explore. You must visit the Castle and Gardens at Mey, the only house the Queen Mother ever owned. No trip to Scotland is complete without a distillery visit and Old Pulteney is just 30 minutes away in Wick. It's also worth finding out about events during your stay as there is a highlands games pretty much every weekend in the summer. No trip to the far north is complete without the standard picture at John O'Groats!
